Hi, I'm struggling to figure out what I need to travel to China. I've got an EU passport but there's so much conflicting information online about requirements that make it confusing. Apparently they allowed 30 day visa free access but then you still need the invitation letter and to register with the local police? Also I've been reading about a new 240 hour rule that's also Visa free but I'm not sure if that changes the EU rule. My stay would be slightly more than 10 days (240 hours) so I'm not sure. Also I'm worried I've missed some other document thats required cause no 2 websites are the same.

Would appreciate any help if anyone knows anything!

my agency asked about previous Turkey travel, and I’m trying to understand whether a short medical visit that long ago is likely to cause additional review or delays.

I’m trying to fill out the new form (after the changes since 26-Oct) from their website for a M business visa through the Mumbai Chinese consulate. But at the last page it still shows that I’ve to upload the visa service fee payment receipt. I had read that it’s directly now handled by the consulate so what is this fee for? I understand we’ve to not pay anything until after the first stage approval, at the consulate itself. Anyone facing the same issue? How to submit the application?

I went in last week (Shanghai) to renew my work visa, which expires next month, and they said it was denied because my residence card (the card thing with the QR code) expires next January and it is less than a year before my visa, so need to renew my residence card first, but it will take a lot of steps.

I am a 22 year old US Citizen and am applying for a Visa for a sports competition. A few days ago the Chinese embassy had requested my birth certificate, and I gave it to them. Now they are asking for my parents passports and birth certificates. Why would they do this? I know they frequently do it for those of Chinese descent, but I am not Chinese or have any relationship to China. My mother is part Filipino and born in US. My father is white and born in the US. I look of some Asian descent but also very white (it would depend on who you ask). Do you think it has to do with me being Asian? Or is it something completely different? Should I be concerned?

If I'm arriving prior to the 30 day visa free deadline, let's say December 1st, and mid-month I want to take the ferry to Macau for the day, come back the next day and spend the balance on the mainland, will that be an issue? Does that represent 2 entries and if so would that be problematic?

I've been asked to "Reply from Embassy/Consulate:1. Please upload the copy the birth certificate. 2. However, I do not know my birth father and have never been in contact with him. What should I do?

Is there an estimated timeframe to get a response from the embassy on the Preliminary review for business visa? I have to be in China for business meetings and visit the Canton fair. I already missed one part of the Canton fair as I am still waiting for my visa. I applied on October 15 and I am a repeat applicant with previous China business visa.

I sent an email but no response for a week now, and phone calls get disconnected after 5 min of putting on a hold every single time and no one responds. I visited the embassy and they dont entertain as well.

What is the best way to connect with the consulate/embassy and request expediting the review? Any one has a contact at the embassy who can help?

I have today got online approval after 12th calendar day. I will be visiting the Embassy in couple of days. From Embassy site, it seems there is no need to pay during doc submission and only need to pay in DD form during the passport collection. Just wanted to know if my understanding is correct. I plan to fly from Taipei to Guangzhou, stay for ten days, travel by train to Hong Kong for a day, return by train(or another type of transportation?) to Guangzhou for another ten days, and fly back to Taipei.

I also plan to visit Beijing during this time.

Hi all, I am a US citizen and planning for my upcoming HK/Thailand/Japan/China trip in November/December. I will spend some time in HK first, but plan to visit Shenzhen for one day before I go to Thailand and Japan. After Japan I plan to visit my partner’s family in Beijing. I was wondering if the 240hr transit visa restarts after I exit out the first time? Or I can only stay 240hr total. Any advice is appreciated!

Hiii. I submitted my online application form a few weeks ago (X2 visa, submitted from Islamabad) . They asked me to amend a few things and I did. After that I haven't heard anything from them.
