This didn’t happen to me, it happened to my little brother. He’s only 13 and was super excited to go to a funfair.

My younger brother planned the trip because he wanted to bring our youngest brother out to have fun.

I couldn’t go, so I gave him RM200 and told him to just let the kid enjoy himself and play whatever games he wanted. Everything sounded fine at first.

Then I found out my younger brother brought his girlfriend along

During the trip, she kept nagging and wanted alone time with him. She wanted to ride things with just the two of them, and slowly the whole trip turned into a couple date.

My little brother got left out. He only played one game the whole time.

Most of the day, he was just following them around, watching them be all lovey-dovey. When he came home, he looked really down.

Later he told me he didn’t even enjoy the trip and felt ignored the whole time.

The money wasn’t the issue. It was the disappointment. That trip was supposed to be for a kid to have fun, not to watch a couple argue and flirt.

And honestly, that’s what made it hurt the most.

RM200 was for the kid and fuel. But He acts like it was nothing and said everything too expensive.. was it really?

One of our close friends passed away, and we only found out two weeks later.

His mum tried calling him one day. No answer. She felt something wasn’t right. Drove over to his place. His car was parked outside. Quiet. No lights. No sound. She knocked, called out… nothing.

Opened the door.

He was gone. Sitting in his chair. Peaceful… but alone.

There was a short 3-day wake. But none of us were informed. Not a single message. Not a call. We only found out after everything was over.

He was our part-time gaming buddy. Not always online, but when he was, it was good vibes only. The kind of guy who would randomly WA just to say “you got this bro” when you’re down. No drama, no noise. Just pure support.

And when you needed help, he’d go the extra mile. Like when one of us was moving house, he didn’t just show up. He called the lorry, helped pack, made sure everything was settled. That kind of friend.

Now we’re all staring at our group chat, feeling helpless. Guilty. Like we should’ve checked in. Should’ve noticed something.

Please… if you haven’t heard from someone in a while, just send that “bro, you okay?” message. Doesn’t matter if it’s awkward. Doesn’t matter if it’s random. Just do it.

Rest easy, brother. We miss you. We wish we could’ve said goodbye.

Edit: Thanks so much for all the kind wishes, everyone. We decided to hold a simple prayer by getting a bottle of vodka (or sake), pouring a shot and placing it on the table. After that, we each took a few sips, then poured the rest onto the ground as a way of paying our respects.

Paying high maintenance fee for this

I received this cutie back in 2011; iirc, one of my sister’s friends gave it to us. We’ve taken proper care of its well-being, but now everyone kind of doesn’t want to take care of it anymore, and my father wants to use the pond for fish—which obviously can’t coexist with the turtle. After looking up the species, I found out it’s called a red-eared slider turtle, and they’re considered a highly invasive species in Malaysia and you can even be fined for owning one. What should I do? Obviously, I can’t release it into the wild. Is there any association that will take care of illegal species? I’m thinking of donating it to a nearby Chinese temple, though—what do you think?

Cina here. Today I just went to take my muet exam. While walking to the exam venue, I ternampak a malay lady. So this malay lady was walking to the exam venue and since it was my first time here I followed her. She was a free hair malay and was wearing a black baju kurung. I kid you not when I saw her face it was love at first sight. She has big eyes, sharp nose, pretty lips, cute cheeks and also her neck holy shit she was literally perfect. Not only that she has a really good body figure, like almost hourglass figure, perfect hips to waist ratio... She even asked me whether she can put her phone in my pencil case cause she didn't bring her bag and you knew i wouldn't reject it. Not only that, during the gap time between exam there's like a 40 minute break and I saw her sitting alone because mabye she is not from this area without her friend(Same goes to me). How I wish I could start a conversation with her but holy shit the bar is so high I can't even decide which bar to grab first. And I peeked at her for a few times while chatting to a fellow stranger who came here to take the exam as well. The way she crossed her leg back and fourth, I could look at her for so a few whole days if she don't mind. I should have gotten her ig but I didn't... That's why I couldn't fathom when someone said only ladies from these certain races are pretty like no if you are pretty you are pretty case closed. there seems to be an old manifesto of the attacker going around, while it may be his writings, it's certainly not his final note. The old one shared originated form another person I knew called Theodelinda, they used to ridicule this guy into madness with other people online which led him to write that note with Theo's help. I knew this guy online and he wasn't a bad person to talk to, but he was certainly mentally unstable and unwell. I used to talk him out of doing bad stuff however he had already set his mind on the attack, just hours prior to the attack I get a call from him, I pick up and he told me that I was a great friend and that nobody would pick his call up before he called me. we talked for an hour before he thanked me and left. However I wasn't aware of what he was gonna do hours later. I live in the UK, the live started around 12:48 AM my time and I wasn't aware for half an hour that he had messaged me, because I was in a call with someone else and I hadn't gotten his notification. When I saw the message (image attached) I already knew it was too late, the live ended and I had gotten his manifesto. I haven't seen anybody else come out with his actual final manifesto, and I don't think this post would reach a good amount of people. This manifesto clears up everything that the old note didn't and it answers his motives, I am sure that he wanted me to spread this manifesto so that the media doesn't take advantage of the situation, as the old note has already began circulating around news stations. I am sorry on the behalf of my friend and I should've looked at the signs earlier as it was a little odd that he was calling me a good friend at such a random time, I would have never guessed that hours later he would attack a school.
